What it does
Trail of Bits Skills is a marketplace of skills and plugins for AI-assisted security analysis, testing, and development. It bundles 40+ plugins across smart contract security, code auditing, malware analysis, verification, reverse engineering, mobile security, development, team management, and tooling.
How it works
You install the marketplace once, then browse and install individual plugins for the job at hand. Examples include building secure contracts with vulnerability scanners, reviewing C and Rust code with coverage verified against a parse of the source, auditing GitHub Actions workflows for agent security issues, creating Semgrep rules, and triaging vulnerability reports before deeper analysis.
How to use it
For Claude Code, add the marketplace with
/plugin marketplace add trailofbits/skills
then browse and install plugins with
/plugin menu
For Codex, run
codex plugin marketplace add trailofbits/skills
list with
codex plugin list
and add one plugin with
codex plugin add <plugin-name>@trailofbits
For ChatGPT workspace imports, use the repo marketplace metadata file, and sync the repo again after a metadata fix if an import fails.
Key points
Pick plugins by task rather than installing everything: a contract audit, a C review, and a supply-chain audit are separate plugins with separate scopes.
Contributors should run the local check command before pushing, as described in the repo authoring guide.
